We are super excited as October 31st comes near because it’s Halloween and it means it’s time for treats! There is no way we would want to miss this jolly celebration. Call us crazy but we have already been stacking tons of candies. This year we want to be fully prepared when the trick-or-treat troopers come knocking on our door.
However, apart from being all set to indulge in the mouthwatering delicacies and pamper our sweet tooth we also have some healthy concerns with that many sweets threaten to rotten our teeth and increase our blood sugar at the same time. Therefore we are trying to substitute those candies as much as we could with something healthier.
Followings are our version of healthy halloween treats:
Although we know Halloween won’t feel the same without candies we still want to present organic snacks at home. Organic munchies are preservative-free. Hence it gives you the sweet pleasure but at the same time it is healthy too.
Sugar free candies
A dentist favorite, sugar free candies normally contain xylitol or sorbitol, an artificial sweeteners that can help prevent cavity.
Soya protein bars
Soya snacks have at least 7 gram of protein and the good thing about them is that they don’t contain bad fat.
Assorted dried fruits are definitely sugar-free and we know kids love them!
Sunflower seeds are nutrition superstars. Not only it is good for your skin but it also contains copper and antioxidant that enhances metabolism.
One tips from us regarding snacks for Halloween is that we should be careful with anything contained peanuts. There are many kids who have strong bad reaction to nuts, some are even life-threatening. So before you give them a candy you may want to check with them about any allergies and if you are a mom who is preparing your kids for their first trick-or-treat time, don’t forget to remind them that they can only have the candy after it is inspected by you or dad.
