Every morning, we professional women make ourselves to get ready for the day. Although we try to take care of ourselves and be on top of things, sometimes we need some quick solutions in the beauty department. If it’s a natural healthy solution, the better. Beauty care product in the market can be alternated with easy and safe DIY solutions.
FOR PUFFY EYES & DARK CIRCLED EYES
The best solution would be sleeping enough hours everyday and not getting stressed out of course, but it doesn’t happen as often as we all would like. If you see puffy eyes or dark circles under your eyes when you get up, try these.
Pour ice-cold whole milk into a small bowl. Then soak two cotton balls in the milk. Squeeze out the cotton balls and put on closed eyelids. When the cotton balls warm up, repeat.
Another and more known solution is to keep a slice of cucumber in the refrigerator and place over closed eyes for puffy eyes or beneath your eyes for dark circles (every morning if needed) and relax for about 10-15 minutes. Cucumbers contain vitamin c and caffeic acid which reduces swelling. Potato slices can also be used like cucumber to reduce dark circles. If you drink lots of tea, Save the used tea bag (green, chamomile, black) and place the cooled ones on your eyes for 10-15 minutes and wash with lukewarm water.
FOR CHAPPED LIPS
Dried and chapped lips tend to make you uncomfortable. If you do not find a lip balm at hand, try this at home. Mix a spoon of white or cane sugar with a drop of honey and rub it on your lips. Wash it off with lukewarm water after a few minutes. This solution is great for removing dead cells from your lips and preventing dryness.
Wearing nail paint every day will ultimately leave stains or discolorations on your nails. To keep your nails healthy, you have to let them breathe. A DIY solution for this would be a mix of vinegar or soap in lukewarm water and dipping your nails in it for 20-25 minutes to let the stain fade. Rubbing it with lemon wedge also helps in removing the discoloration.
FOR DARK ELBOWS AND KNEES
Take a freshly cut half a lemon and rub gently on your rough skin, such as elbows and knees (daily if needed). The acid in the lemon will soften rough spots on skin and also lighten any dark areas. Wash off the area and then apply sesame oil and massage it gently. This will help lighten the skin.
FOR TANNED FEET
Your feet are one of the most exposed body parts. To treat tanned feet, use a pumice stone to remove dead skin cells, and then apply a heavy moisturizer on your feet before you go to sleep.
FOR FRIZZY HAIR
Use slightly heat coconut oil and apply it on your hair as a hair conditioner and moisturizer. Massage gently throughout. You can leave it in overnight or condition with a heat cap if you are pressed for time. Coconut oil also provides shine. Women with especially kinky hair will love this treatment!
