5 Must-Haves in Your Summer Beach Bag for Tech Savvy Women

We are at Summer-Peak!

Hitting the beach any time soon? Whether it’s in your town or overseas, you gotta have all the essentials to enjoy your time fully at the beach.

These are must-haves in your summer beach bag this year. Even more, for smart, savvy, fashionable, and pro beach-goers!

1. Turkish Towels

You’ll find rave reviews about Turkish towels, sometimes known as Peshtemal towels, all over the internet. These cotton towels feel like silk and take up less room than a normal beach towels, in addition to being highly absorbent and quick-drying. And they come in many colors and patterns to best fit your personality (and match your bathing suit too, of course.)

2. Water-proof Case

Nothing is worse than getting sand in those tiny crevices of your phone or stuck to your favorite lip balm. A water-resistant case/pouch will keep all of your essentials safe from the elements.

3. Podo

Love selfies, but hate selfie sticks? Podo is a “stick-and-shoot” camera that will bring your selfies to the next level. Simply stick it to any nearby surface, adjust the position, and take the photo from an app on your phone. Keep the back clean and you’ll be able to reuse Podo over and over again, and you’ll never have to bring a selfie-stick again.

4. Beach-ready Sound System

Don’t be the noisy one at the beach, but a waterproof/sandproof/shockproof portable speaker is just the thing to make your best beach day. “Altec Lansing Life Jacket Bluetooth Speaker” also floats in water and has up to 10 hours of battery life, and it’s Bluetooth, so you’ll be able play music from your phone while you take the speaker for a dip.

5. Functional Beach Bag

Probably the most important thing to remember on your trip to the beach is the bag itself. While beach bags come in all different styles and uses, I’m obsessed with this extremely functional beach bag from Dezzio. It holds your towel, protects your electronics, keeps your drinks cold, and even charges your phone, satisfying every need you could possibly want in a beach bag.

We are out, and we are going around. It’s a traveling season!

As much as we all want to travel more, there are tons of reasons why women don’t travel alone, especially to several particular countries.

While it IS true that you have to be extra careful when you go alone, most of the common dangers you will face CAN be prevented easily.

Tailor your research to the type of place you are going and your own travel style. Check out the blogs other solo female travelers or posts for them. They are full of practical and good advice.

Make sure someone at home has all your information. Scan everything and give a copy to a friend and keep one with you. Do schedule for regular check ins with them too.

Chatting to local staff is not just a great way to ask about the local area. Ask them about any dangers currently happening that you should watch out for. Those information can’t be found in your travel book.

Also make yourself known to your hotel staff who may notice if you don’t return as expected. Tell them where you’re going and when you think you’ll be back.

Always get a card from the place you’re staying. If they don’t have cards, write the name, address and phone number and keep it with you. You can use this info in case you lose your way back. I also keep them as souvenirs personally.

It may be tough to look like a local, but try to mingle if possible. Don’t spread your map at a corner of a big street and stare at it to figure out how to get there. Learning a few phrases in the local language beforehand helps too.

Like don’t flash a stack of cash on the street. Store them safely (like in your secret pouch under your shirt) and have a pocket for some changes for a quick access.

Keep your valuables close to you or on you. Take extra time to be safe. Don’t get drunk alone. Have a travel insurance. Get a international calling card. You know the basic drill.

15 Best Practical Packing Tips for Female Travelers

It’s getting warm, and that means more outdoors and traveling.

When your trip is set, what do you think about first?

‘What should I bring…’

That’s what I think about. And, to be honest, it’s not my happiest moment.

Also when it comes time to leave, I always feel like I’m missing something. Don’t you have that?

A fashion designer and a businesswoman, Rachel Zoe, says “Packing is an art form, and if you master it, you can drastically minimize your traveling woes.”

So, here I gathered best travel packing tips we can all use for our traveling. Let’s see how we can become a professional packer.

1. Make a checklist.

Even if you travel all the time, it’s easy to forget something. keep a checklist and cross things off until you’re sure you have everything you need. To avoid overpacking, plan out some outfits beforehand and write a list. This is a great way to visualize what you’re taking and to avoid overpacking.

2. Don’t forget your Ziplock bag.

If you’re flying, the liquids you take in your carry-on need to be 3.4 ounces or less and must fit into a quart-size bag.

3. Pack an extra outfit in your carry-on.

If you’re planing on checking a bag, make sure you put at least a t-shirt and pair of underwear in your carry-on. If your luggage is lost or doesn’t arrive on time, you’ll have at least something to change into the next day.

4. Ask the flight attendant, nicely.

If you bring a garment bag on the plane, the flight attendants will usually (not always) let you store it in the closet even if you’re in coach. If you are going to a fancy event, you might want to bring a dress in a garment bag instead of trusting yourself to have time to iron it successfully in the hotel. Your choice.

5. Pack Tide To Go pen.

I don’t know how long your each travel is going to be, but this would be a lifesaver.

6. Leave room in your suitcase.

Don’t travel to your destination with your suitcase already at the maximum allowed weight. You’ll regret not being able to take home any souvenirs, and let’s be real: this means you most likely have packed way too much.

7. Wear the valuable jewelry you’re taking with you.

First of all, it’d be best not to bring any expensive jewelry for traveling, and wearing anything constricting such as big finger rings or lots of metals is not recommended either.

However, if you do bring jewelry, wear them on you when you get on the plane. Putting jewelry in checked baggage is an obvious no-no, but putting it in your carry-on isn’t exactly fool-proof either. Things get stolen — that’s life.

Bring jewelry that can coordinate with most of your outfits you will be wearing during the trip, and minimize the amount of jewelry to bring.

8. Wear your bulkiest shoes on the plane.

If you’re saving room in your bag. Otherwise you’d want to be comfortable in your long flight, so wear something comfy.

9. Wear leggings, Wear comfy on the plane.

Rachel Zoe says “It is so important to have a go-to uniform to wear when you’re traveling. I opt for pieces that are comfortable, chic and wearable beyond the plane. Think: A great pair of wedges, long dresses, leggings, riding boots and cozy knit sweaters. As a general rule, cashmere and jersey fabrics are your friends. I also suggest wearing black or navy to hide any potential in-flight spills or wrinkles. In the accessory department, a non-structured hat (so it won’t lose shape if you stow it away) and a large pair of sunglasses are a must.”

10. Wear a scarf on the plane.

It can double as a wrap/blanket if things get chilly (and they usually do).

11. Roll your clothes.

If you’re worried about not having enough space in your suitcase or want to avoid wrinkles in your clothing, try rolling your clothes instead of folding them.

12. Pack clothes that coordinate.

You CAN travel in style. Just don’t pack completely different outfits.

Pack a couple pairs of dark casual pants and maybe one other pair of slacks or a skirt, plus a few silk shirts, camisoles, a cardigan, and a jacket. Almost any of the shirts you bring should match with any of the bottoms. If you wear suits, just switch up the shirts/accessories.

13. Bring an eye mask and earplugs.

You never know.

14. Always keep an energy bar or your own snack in your carry-on bag.

The plane might get delayed. I mean, like delaaaayed. The airport vendors might have sold out of food for people. If it’s a winter blizzard or a massive string of delays, you may be out of luck. Prepare in advance by keeping an energy bar in your bag so you’re always ready in case disaster strikes.

15. Bring a small bag for dirty clothes.

Drawstring ones, plastic ones…doesn’t matter. Just don’t forget one. (if you forget to pack it, you can also use the plastic one in your hotel room in the closet for laundry)
