Yep, yep, yep. The big holiday is coming up right around the corner. When I think about Thanksgiving, Sharing comes to mind. We share food, we share good times, we share each others’ shoulder… It’s such a wonderful holiday.
Big and small dinner parties will be happening everywhere around Thanksgiving. For starters to prepare parties, we clean out the dining table, add new table covers, put out special holiday dishes and decors for the room… Definitely add some décor on the outside of the main door to bring in the mood too. A simple bunch of cornucopias or pine cones bound with red silk ribbon would do wonders. The center piece on dinner table and the simple change of doormat are great ideas too.
Depending on your preference, here are some parties for adults you can organize for you and your friends.

1. Formal Party
Send out invitations for a formal party. Clearly mention in your invitation that it is a formal party, and there’s a dress code. It’s a nice touch to add fall leaves or confetti into the invitation envelope too.
Try classic music in the background for the party. Make the party simple but elegant. Candle lights are great touch for formal parties or any holiday party too.
Make sure to have vegetarian dishes for your guests. Unique place cards that reflects the season (leaves, pinecones, etc.) and a label on each dish are great to please your guests.
Here are some drinks and foods for a formal party:
White Cranberry Mimosa
Cranberry Champagne Cocktail
Cranberry Orange Sparkler
Caramel Apple Cream Cheese Spread
Citrus and Herb Turkey Breast
Make sure to clear up space if you plan to have a dance floor and plan out for sitting and standing spaces.
2. Potluck Dinner Party with Costumes
Set up a simple 9 course meal and assign each to the attendants. Don’t forget to ask to bring the label for the dish, so people would know what’s in it. Ask them to dress up as pilgrims or Indians to get more into the Thanksgiving holiday atmosphere.
Apple Pie Punch
Candied Pecan Sweet Potato Casserole
Apple Cranberry Walnut Salad
Garlic Parmesan Roasted Broccoli

Corn gobbling contest, Popcorn tossing (into your partner’s mouth), and Turkey calling contest (to come up with interesting nick names for each person) are also simple but fun games you can play for the night.
Bourbon Maple Apple Cider
pumpkin spice white hot chocolate
bacon wrapped asparagus
Pickle Roll Ups
There you have it!
One more thing if you care, please don’t forget to have the lawn or balcony readied for smokers to avoid smoking indoors.
